Complete Log - Game Finished

Friday. 6pm. Theme revealed.

Billy and Jonas meet to discuss thoughts and ideas on the theme. Whiteboard some simple concepts. No decisions made at this point.

Sunday 9am - Billy works on SFX for the game, implementing more SFX, music, animation on the frog and preventing the player from walking off the handheld console.

At 10am Jonas joins Billy - Together they work on adjusting UI & music. Jonas implements a bonus collectible: a fly. Collecting the fly is worth more points than the flowe but it appears for a limited amount of time.

Kasia accesses the Git repo to have the Unity project running locally on her machine. Begins to update art directly into the Unity assets.

Around 12:30, Jonas begins to create itch.io page for game submission. Group decide that the "inner game" will be called Pocket Frog and the 'outer game' will be called Gnamer Gnome.

1pm onwards

Further tweaks are made to game code. Flower spawn is made more consistent and avoids spawning on top of the player.

Kasia adds art for fly. Provides final draft of the handheld console. Gives colours to Gnome and buttons.

Billy adds further SFX tweaks. Frog makes unique noise when eating fly. Fly makes noise when it spawns.

Jonas creates a Main Menu for when the game boots up and tidies up old assets.

Final Hours

Kasia creates a background for the whole game and a unique background for the menu. Continues to tweak art throughout.

Jonas and Billy work through code fixes. A new gameplay element is added in which the fly cannot be eaten unless the players runs over and presses 'A'.

Starting the game now plays SFX.

Jonas implements a "game over" state by which the timer reaches 0 and kicks the player back to the main menu.

Billy improves High Score code so High Score is displayed at the Game Over menu.

An explanaition of the game is added on the Main Menu.

The final version of the game (windows only) is uploaded to https://jttg.itch.io/gnamergnome
